Modular Chemical Tools for Biological Drug Delivery
We develop novel chemical tools by combining rational design with high-throughput techniques, enabling a bottom-up approach to tackle fundamental challenges in drug delivery.
What We Study
We are interested in creating innovative chemical strategies to bridge the gap between basic science and translational research in drug delivery. Our vision is to provide molecular-level insights into drug delivery and revolutionize medicine by introducing proteins as next-generation therapies for currently undruggable diseases. My research program spans synthetic organic chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular and cell biology with the goal of training students to branch into nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, pharmacology, and optical imaging. Who We Are
The Jun Lab was established in August 2024 and is based in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. We are a team of chemical biologists with expertise in synthetic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular & cell biology, and engineering. We strive to foster a multidisciplinary community and welcome passionate individuals from diverse scientific backgrounds to collaborate toward a common goal: advancing protein therapeutics. We are actively recruiting postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students. If you’re interested in joining us or simply want to discuss science, feel free to email Vicky!
