About Freja (she/her)
Freja was born and raised in Fier, Albania, and moved to the United States in 2018 to pursue her studies in the chemical sciences. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin, where she worked on the development of a FRET-based assay to study the biodegradability of sequence-defined polymers. In the Jun Lab, her research is focused on the development of novel trifunctional activity-based probes for diagnostic imaging. Outside of lab, Freja enjoys exploring nature and watching movies.
Fun fact: Since 2021, Freja has kept a running list of every rom-com she’s liked—totaling 127 movies so far (and always looking for a new favorite)!
